Create an API key

The owner creates API keys in Settings → API keys: name the key, choose when it expires and tick only the scopes it needs, then press Generate key. Copy the key at once; Deline never shows it again.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and choose API keys.

  2. Press Create key, name the key and choose when it expires.

  3. Tick only the scopes the key needs.

    For example invoices:read to read invoices.

  4. Press Generate key and copy the key now: it is shown only once.

    Keep the key secret, like a password. To stop it, revoke it on the same page.

If something goes wrong

  • You lost the key: revoke it and create a new one.
