Will I lose my work if I close the page or the connection drops?

Usually not. An invoice draft saves itself a moment after you stop typing, as soon as it has a customer and valid amounts and dates; the Saved pill confirms it. A bill you are entering is Kept on this device. And if you try to leave a screen with changes that are not saved, Deline asks first.

How does autosave work?

  • About a second and a half after your last change, the draft is saved through the same request as Save draft. A new invoice becomes a saved draft on its first autosave.
  • What you typed is never replaced by the answer.
  • If the draft cannot be saved yet (for example no customer), nothing is sent; Save draft explains why.

What if I leave the screen?

You see Unsaved changes, with Keep editing or Discard & leave. Nothing is thrown away unless you choose to discard.

What if the connection drops?

Deline says "The connection was interrupted. Your edits are still here. Retry the same action to check its result." Retrying the same action does not save or issue anything twice.

What is never automatic?

Issuing, sending, paying and posting are always separate steps that you confirm. Autosave only keeps a draft.
