Who pays the card fees, and can I add a card surcharge?

You do, through your own Stripe account. Payments go straight to your Stripe account and "Stripe's standard fees apply". Deline takes no cut of your payments: card payments are part of your plan. Deline has no setting to add a card surcharge to an invoice.

How do card payments work?

The owner connects Stripe in Get paid by card with Connect Stripe. After that, an issued invoice can show Pay with Stripe to your customer. Accept card payment turns it on or off for each invoice, and "Card payments need the Basic plan."

Can the customer pay the fee instead?

Not through Deline. There is no surcharge line. If you want to pass a cost on, add it as an invoice line yourself, and check first that your country's rules allow it.

Can I offer bank transfer only?

Yes. On the customer, set Usual payment method to Bank transfer only. "Each invoice's own card switch can still change it."

If something goes wrong

  • "Stripe needs a few more details.": press Continue in Stripe.
  • "Ask the business owner to connect Stripe.": only the owner connects Stripe.
