Why is the payout smaller?
Card payments in Deline go straight to your own Stripe account. "Stripe's standard fees apply"; Deline takes no cut. Stripe takes its fee from the money before it pays out, and one payout can hold several payments.
How do I match it?
- In Reconcile, record the fee from the bank or processor line, or as its own line. See Record a bank fee from your statement.
- Use Match manually when the amounts only add up together: "Pick the statement lines and the lines in your books that are the same money, for example one deposit that pays two invoices, or two card payouts booked as one." You can match them once both sides agree.
Does Deline import Stripe's fee report?
No. Deline keeps the invoice payment separate from the processor's fees and does not read your Stripe payouts. You record fees from your bank statement.
If something goes wrong
- "The two sides differ by …. For a part payment, record that payment for the amount the bank shows first, then match it."
