What does the Cyprus filings card show?

The Cyprus filings card in Accounting → Reports lists the next date of each Cyprus filing that applies to your business, soonest first, worked out from your settings. It is a calendar only. The card's help says: "Nothing is filed from here: you or your accountant file on the Tax Department's portals."

Which filings can appear?

  • VAT 4 return: when the business is VAT-registered. Every quarter, by the 10th day of the second month after the quarter ends.
  • VIES statement: once you sell to EU businesses. Every month by the 15th, months with no EU sales too. It is prepared in Accounting → Reports; late filing costs a €50 penalty.
  • Monthly PAYE return and social insurance and IR7 · employer's annual return: when Cyprus payroll has employees.
  • IR4 · company tax return for a company, or IR1 · personal tax return if you are self-employed. The IR1 line also shows the later date that applies With audited or reviewed accounts.
  • Provisional tax (IR6): two instalments, 31 July and 31 December. A business formed after 30 June sees one estimate and payment by 31 December.

Each line has a short help text with the rule and the portal: Tax For All (TFA), or TAXISnet for older tax years.

How do I read a date?

A line reads like "… · in 12 days", or "Due today · …" on the day itself. A date less than 14 days away is shown in amber. When the Tax Department announced a no-charge period, the line says "Due …; no interest or charges if filed and paid by …".

Why is a filing missing?

The card only shows what your settings say applies. No VAT 4 or VIES without a VAT registration in Settings → Business; no VIES without EU sales; no PAYE or IR7 without payroll employees. Company or self-employed decides IR4 or IR1.

What does the card not do?

It does not file, pay or remind anyone by email. It does not cover the yearly extension of the first provisional-tax instalment. Check the provisional tax estimate with your accountant.
