What do I fill in?
- Choose card statement CSV: the original CSV from your card provider, up to 8 MiB.
- Card name: a name you recognise, for example "Business Visa". Never type the card number. A card you used before is offered under Previously used cards.
- Statement reference: the reference printed on the statement. Deline may suggest one from the file name; check it.
- Statement period and balances: Period starts, Period ends, Balance owed at the start and Balance owed at the end, exactly as printed on your statement.
- CSV options: Deline suggests how to read the file (Separator, whether The first line holds column names, the date, amount and description columns, Date format, In this file, charges are and Decimal separator). Check the sample transactions it shows and correct a suggestion if needed.
What happens when I keep it?
The statement appears under Statements kept with the status Statement kept, and View statement opens its lines. As Deline says: "Keeping a statement saves its evidence only. It does not link an account, accept the statement, or post entries." Your card purchases still reach the books the usual way, for example as bills or expense claims.
Who can add one?
The owner or the accountant. Other team members see the statements that were kept.
If something goes wrong
- "This statement is already kept for that card.": the same statement was added before; you find it under Statements kept.
- "Choose a CSV file no larger than 8 MiB.": download a shorter period from your card provider.
