I'm not an accountant. How do I get set up?

Follow the Workspace setup checklist on the Overview. It shows each step and how many are left, such as "3 steps left", until Your workspace is set up. Steps that shape your books and tax returns are marked Accountant check, so you know where a short look from your accountant helps.

What does Accountant check mean?

"Steps marked "Accountant check" shape your books and tax returns. A short look from your accountant now saves corrections later." Press Invite your accountant to give them the Accountant role.

Where do I start?

  • Your business details and tax details in Settings → Business.
  • Your books: as a new business, or bringing your books over from another program.
  • Your bank, then your first invoice.

Can the AI assistant help?

Yes. It can answer questions about Deline's own screens and prepare drafts for you to confirm. It does not give tax advice: see Does the AI assistant give tax advice?
