If I cancel my plan
Settings → Plan & billing shows Cancels on …; issued invoices and records stay available. Nothing is deleted when the plan ends.
If I close the business
- The business becomes read-only at once, and you have 30 days to download your records or cancel the closure.
- After that, everything in this business is deleted, including the accounting books. Encrypted backups expire within 13 months. Only the business name is kept.
- A written request or legal hold pauses the deletion.
How do I download everything?
In Settings → Connections, under Download data:
- All business data: the business's records and the PDFs of issued invoices, without passwords, keys or other secrets.
- Accounting books: a separate download, including foreign-currency records and their rates.
- Invoices CSV: your invoices as a spreadsheet.
The Close business screen offers the same downloads first.
How long should I keep them?
You remain responsible for keeping tax and legal records. A Cyprus business must keep its records for 6 years; in Spain, issued invoices for at least 4 years and the accounting books for 6. Your accountant can confirm what applies.
