How do I leave a business I was invited to?

Open Team & account, choose Members and press Leave business at the bottom. Deline asks Leave {business}? and explains: "You’ll lose access to this business. An owner can invite you again." Confirm with Leave business.

What happens when I leave?

Your access to that business ends at once. Its invoices, books and the work you did there stay with the business. Your own login and any other businesses you belong to are not affected.

Why don't I see Leave business?

Owners do not have it. An owner cannot change their own role either. To step away as an owner:

  • If the business has another owner, ask them to change your role to Editor, Accountant or Viewer. Then Leave business appears for you.
  • If you are the only owner, first make another member an owner, or close the business (see Close a business).

If something goes wrong

  • "You’re the only owner of {business}, and other people work in it. Make one of them an owner, or close the business first.": this appears when you try to delete your account while you are the only owner. Make another member an owner, then try again.
