How do I chase overdue invoices in Deline?

Let Deline send the reminders for you. Turn on Schedule payment reminders on each unpaid invoice, and Deline emails the customer on the days you choose, in the invoice's language. It stops by itself once the invoice is paid: "We only follow up while an amount remains due."

What helps me chase?

  • Payment reminders on the invoice: up to five days, before or after the due date. See Schedule payment reminders for an invoice.
  • Reminder tone in Settings → Business: Friendly or Firm.
  • The business agent's Payment reminder suggestions: it suggests a reminder for each overdue invoice every day, and a person sends it.
  • The Overdue filter in Sales & invoices, the aged receivables report and the customer statement, to see who owes what.

Does Deline phone or charge late fees?

No. Deline sends reminder emails only. It does not call customers, add interest or late fees, or pass invoices to a collection agency.

If something goes wrong

  • "Issue this invoice before enabling reminders.": reminders work on issued invoices only.
  • "No new reminder is due. Reminders stop when the balance is cleared."
