Where does the invoice's language come from?
From Document language in Settings → Brand & documents, as it was when the invoice was issued. Until you choose one, it is your country's default: Spanish in Spain, Greek in Cyprus, Ukrainian in Ukraine, English elsewhere. Changing the setting later does not change reminders for invoices already issued.
Which languages can a reminder use?
English, Spanish, Greek and Ukrainian. A document in French or German gets an English reminder, because reminder wording does not exist in those languages yet. An old invoice issued before documents had a language setting also gets English.
What else follows the language?
- The polite form: usted in Spanish, the polite plural in Greek, Ви in Ukrainian.
- Amounts and dates written the document's way, for example 1.241,18 € and 25/11/2026, or 1 241,18 ₴ and 25.11.2026 in Ukrainian.
- The Reminder tone you chose in Settings → Business: Friendly or Firm. "Friendly is a gentle nudge; firm asks for payment now or a date when it will be paid."
And in a demo business?
A demo business writes its reminders in the demo's language, so you can read the captured email yourself. Demo businesses send nothing to real customers.
If something goes wrong
- The reminder came out in English: check the invoice's document language. French, German and older invoices get English.
- I want reminders in another language: change Document language before you issue the next invoice. Issued invoices keep their language.
